The purpose of the Blockchain Business Review (BBR) is to contribute to the development of a healthy Blockchain ecosystem. During Asia Blockchain and FinTech (ABF) in Seoul BBR held a blockchain hackathon called Block Camp that was the first official event of ABF and was co-hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government and Chain Partners.
‘Chain your ideas, Create the blocks’, featured as the slogan of the Hackathon and was at the very heart of the hackathon event to help inspire creative innovation amongst attendees. Over 100 developers devoted to blockchain research and technology development gathered to achieve innovation by bringing together nothing but their intelligence and ideas. Blockchain is foundational to the new digital age and South Korea has emerged as a global leader in this field it needs events like the BlockCamp Hackathon to lay the foundation to empower the next generation of emerging leaders within the blockchain space. The success of this event not only highlights BBR’s commitment to growing their contribution within this pace but to also their commitment to cultivate talents and creation of new jobs.
Sandra Ro, CEO of the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) commented saying “the GBBC team was encouraged by the level of talent, enthusiasm, and dedication witnessed from young entrepreneurs and government officials alike in nurturing the new technology. BlockCamp Hackathon is yet another example that demonstrates Korea’s commitment to becoming a leader in the global blockchain space,” The second ABF will take place in Japan in January 2019 and CryptoLingo plan to also be there to partner with BBR again following the success of the inaugural event in Seoul.
